SBA 8(a) Program
The Small Business Administration's 8(a) program is designed to benefitthe client as well as the contractor by assisting small, disadvantagedbusinesses with:

    » The ability to pursue large negotiated procurements regardlessof the dollar amount.

    » Limited-competition opportunities in the government arena.

    » Ensuring the client that bonding, insurance and other legalrequirements will be met through negotiated contracts, businesses are given an opportunity to enter the government-contracting arena and gain the experience necessary to compete in the full and open market.

As an Alaska Native Corporation (ANC) subsidiary, NANA Pacific is eligible to receive negotiated contracts greater than $3 million dollars. Per 13 CFR 124.506(b), ANCs are exempt from competitive threshold limitations.

Indian Incentive Program
NANA Pacific qualifies as an Indian-owned economic enterprise providing a unique opportunity for prime contractors to receive a five-percent "incentive" on Department of Defense projects subcontracted to NANA Pacific. The Buy Indian Act, as defined under the Indian Incentive Program, (FAR 52.226-1), is a federal program funded by the Bureau of Indian Affairs. The Indian Incentive Program provides for the payment of five (5) percent of the amount subcontracted to an Indian organization or Indian-owned economic enterprise, when authorized under the terms of the contract
