NANA Pacific, LLC was established in 2001 to provide a full range of design-build services. We are wholly owned by NANA Development Corporation.
Parent Company
Akmaaq’s parent company, NANA Regional Corporation, was founded in 1974, and is the business arm of NANA Regional Corporation, Inc.
Like the traditional Iñupiat Hunter, NANA Development Corporation seeks ways to use our land and 10,000 years of doing business to provide service to the to the benefit of our clients, our shareholders, and the communities in which we live.
Headquartered in Anchorage, Alaska, NANA Development Corporation employs more than 9,000 people throughout the United States and around the globe. NANA operations extend from the Arctic Circle to Antarctica, across the continental United States, to the Middle East and the South Pacific.
As an Alaska Native Corporation, our earnings have a direct positive impact on the lives of the more than 12,000 Iñupiat of northwest Alaska who own NANA. Our Accomplishments
IIn our brief history, NANA Pacific has completed projects worldwide and worked to establish itself as a recognized company in government and commercial contracting.In 2004, the company made a strategic alliance with Rivada Networks that has led to a joint venture company called Rivada Pacific. In 2005, we received the USACE Celebrate Safety Award in 2005 for the Mezzanine Expansion project at Ft. Wainwright, Alaska. Through Rivada Pacific, we were also involved with Hurricane Katrina relief efforts, particularly in the mobilization and restoring of communications in the areas affected by the storm.
In 2008 the USACE awarded us the 2007 Commander's Safety and Occupational Health Award for our Fuel Cell Maintenance Dock/Hanger on our Minot AFB, ND project. NANA Pacific was also recognized with the Celebrate Safety 2008 SAFETY ACHIEVEMENT AWARD, CONTRACTOR OF THE YEAR FINALIST for the USACE for the Phase 2—Second GSC-5f2 Terminal project at Ft. Greely, Alaska.
